BRAKING
SIMULATOR |
A
braking simulator is available as an add-on to
the gauge 1 and gauge 3 version of module D.
It consists
of a pair of spring-loaded brake blocks which
apply pressure to the rollers in order
to apply
a load to the loco under test. Useful for testing
the effectiveness of boiler feed pumps, blowers,
and general steaming ability of locos under load.
The brake may be disengaged by means of locking
screws then released one wheel at a time to apply
progressive braking. |
